Section 1: Rationale

For this project I am going to use all the skills and resources I have learnt and found over the last two years. 

 

My strengths are that I am good at researching different things, and I am also good at communicating to all different people. I can also cope very well under high pressure situations such as deadlines. i also can come up with really intriguing ideas. 

 

My skills include organization, motivation, confidence, I am realistic with my ideas and to finish I am very strong willed. 

 

My achievements that will help me in this are that I have done all of my projects upto now.  I have done GCSE Drama and my final project for that was an devised piece so i know how much work and time it takes to come up with the performance as well as practicing and make sure everything runs smoothly. I also know that sometimes you really don't want to be filmed so i will have to take care in that area. I will also have the support of my tutor Phil and my classmates if I need their help with something.

Section 2: Concept

I want to do a documentary about the process they come up with for  the show. 

I am going to do a multimedia platform for the lead up to the documentary. It's going to have interviews, podcasts and little videos to promote the doc. 

My aims are to show the creative process as well as the work it takes to get the final product. I am  also going to run the groups instergram to help show the people what is going on leading up to the show. 

 

The people that i will be in contact with throughout this project will be of course Sarah Leaver who is the tutor of the group i am working with, she is there to tell me what she wants out of me being there as well as helping me with the things i can not do myself. Then I need to work with the acting level 3 diploma group because they are the group I am working with. They will be the stars of the documentary as well as I will be using videos and photos of them. 

For this to happen I need to use the video cameras well as a still image camera to get the content I need to make the documentary. I will also use my phone to record audio for the interviews. I am going to record the interviews on video as well so they can go into the documentary.

Section 3: Evaluation

 I am going to evaluate my work through weekly diaries as well as at the end I will look back on what I did and how I could have done to make it better and I will ask people I worked with to get their opinion on my work. I will also ask people that I did not work with to get an outside perspective.

Section 4: Research

I need to look for interviews about devised theatre that can show me what kind of questions that i can ask as well as the different formats to put the interview out. 

 

I need to look through the existing content of the Instergram to see what they already have  so that i can get some ideas of what kind of things to post on their page. I want to use this platform to promote the show so that we can get a buzz going about the show.

 

I am going to look for similar Instagram pages to see the type of content they post so that I can get a really good idea to use for our instagram. 

 

I also need to look for documentaries that are based on the smiler topic or on the same kind of process that I will be looking at.
